A
Note from Robert Vest:
This fall has been quite busy! I've been teaching a full roster of
students at AMDA, NY, writing, and performing!
Some highlights include: The Vest kids Summer visit to NYC!! Much love
and thanks to David & Miss Julie!!! Then another visit of my son for his
16th birthday!!! I performed "Dressing Up Is Hard To Do" at the Abingdon
Theatre's Sing Easy Cabaret in October! November brought "Star Wars In
Concert" with Anthony Daniels. I was hired to be a part of the choir for
this exciting multi-media event in the North East part of their tour!
There's nothing like performing with 80 piece orchestra and crowds of
20,000! There's a buzz regarding the cast album of "It's The Talk Of The
Town," which will be released in 2010. I'm really excited about my
upcoming debut at Lincoln Center's Performing Art's Library's Holiday
Songbook, where my song "Santa Goes Boating" will be performed by
Jennifer Houston and Julie Bearden. Julie has just completed the 5 part
SSATB arrangement of "Santa..." !!!
I've also been working with a wonderful acting coach, Regina O'Malley.
She has brought out my best!
The new year brings many auditions for Theatre, TV,Film, the release of
"It's The Talk Of The Town," My solo recording, and more opportunities
for being with my 3 wonderful children!
I truly hope and pray for peace on earth and good will to all!
Blessings to you and yours!
Much Love,
Robert
A Note from
Robert Vest:
"We first performed this show on Jerry's 100th birthday at The Triad
Theatre, NYC. Dennis Livingston, Jerry's son was on hand. It was a
great event and now we're doing a recording and more performances on
42nd Street at the Laurie Beechman. My mother, Joyce Vest, used to sing "Mairzy Doats" all the time when I
was a kid. So it's a thrill to be performing that song among so many
classics from tv, film, and radio. I'm enjoying singing "Blue and Sentimental" as a solo in the show as
well as "Wake The Town and Tell the People." The cast is a diverse
group of wonderful singer/actors. If you're in NYC in June, come and support this venture!
SANTA GOES
BOATING, my global warming Christmas song is being arranged
for SATB and TTBB choirs as well as being recorded as a dance tune. As
soon as I get the final copy, it will be available for purchase through
this website. Thanks to all who encourage me! I hope that my work brings joy and
inspiration to you!
